Introduction

Creating a website that works hard for your business or organisation involves a series of stages that must be correctly followed, getting client approval at each stage, to ensure success.

Our process has been developed over many years to encourage collaboration between us and you, the client, so that every project ends with the results that you are seeking.

On this page we take you briefly through that process, so you know what will happen and how you will be involved.

Please get in touch or arrange a chat if you'd like to know more...

1. Discover

This is the stage where we learn from you about your business and what you want to achieve from the website.  The discovery phase is key to finding out what goals you have, who you want to attract and how to convert that audience to enquiries, eventually leading to sales.  We look at your competitors to see what they are doing and ask you for your current pain points, likes and dislikes about your current website (if you have one).

2. Plan

The planning stage is critical to creating a high-converting website that is simple and easy to use.  This involves developing the site architecture through sitemaps and wireframes.  We want to steer your visitors towards your most important products or services and encourage them to get in touch, buy, donate or get in touch with you.

3. Design

We now take the sitemap and wireframes and develop them, adding colour, images and typography to produce the final high-fidelity designs. We will design the home page first and ask you to review that before moving onto the other page types, that will be used throughout the website.

4. Build

The design is now complete, so we can build the site knowing what the final product will look like.  We will build the home page first and show you, then move onto the inner pages.   This is where the pages come alive and you will be able to interact with them and navigate through the website.  If the designs contain any Latin "padding text", we will need your content so we can add that into the pages.

5. Test

The testing stage involves checking your new website’s performance (speed and usability) using a combination of devices and browsers. We also have access to Lambdatest, which provides us with a much larger range of devices that we can use to test the site on. We will ask the client to help test the site and report back on any bugs so we can fix them as quickly as possible.

6. Launch!

The exciting bit!  The website is complete and we set it live!  We will run through the final going live process, where we copy over the site files and database to the live web space on the server.  The development site will remain as it is, so you can try out content changes there if you need to and we will develop new functionality there when the time comes.   We will send you the completion email to let you know the site is live and give you any information you need post launch.  This is not the end, just the beginning of our successful ongoing partnership.

I am Chief Executive of a charity. When I took over our website crashed and we lost all our data. We switched hosts to Made Simple Media, took on a brand new CMS and we have never looked back. Dave was fantastic then and remains so. Always approachable, quick to respond and great tools to help you on your way.

Due to business expansion I needed to make some amendments to a existing WordPress website. I asked Made Simple Media for some suggestions on the ideas I had and he was super helpful and came up with some great ideas to make the website perform and navigate better. Him and his team then did a great job in putting the ideas to practice and I was kept informed as the work was underway. Highly recommend Dave and his team!

We are delighted with the website that Made Simple Media created for St Andrew's Church, N16. They really understood our vision for the project and turned it into reality, whilst suggesting additional ideas throughout. The whole project was seamless and enjoyable.

Dave was so patient and understanding when it came to explaining the process and how things work. I highly recommend MSM to anyone who needs that extra help understanding the fundamentals of website building.

Having never had the responsibility of creating a new website for the business before, Made Simple Media could not have made it a more easier and pleasurable experience. From the initial meeting to the end product, we could not have been happier. Made Simple Media quickly grasped what we were looking to achieve in both design style and function.
